It was determined that the power enhancement system was reducing our bill in three distinct ways; by reducing total kilowatt hours by 10.4%, by reducing the total demand charge by .03%, and by increasing the power factor credit by 1.8%. This translated into an average overall reduction of 12.23% on the total bill. Having been so impressed with its performance, we are looking forward to utilizing the technology with our other organizations.
The 2010 installation of energy saving and surge protection technology in The Washington Post printing plant has proven to be much more valuable than we had anticipated. The actual energy reductions and savings have exceeded the proposed ones and payback was shorter than we anticipated. The system provides many benefits and it has proven to be a valuable asset to our operations and The Washington Post’s efforts to preserve our natural resources.
In March 2011, our clubhouse was impacted by a serious power outage. Fortunately for us, the POWATRIM system was installed prior to this. As a result, we experienced no data loss or harmful effects to our electronic devices, or office equipment. Even more impressive, our utility bills have been reduced by about 15% per month. This energy savings system does work and we are excited to offer our wholehearted endorsement of these products.
